Created and introduced by Bay Area teacher and resident, Kathryn Sherrod, Fine Arts Mini Experience is designed to add a Fine Art curriculum to the K-8th school program. For our campus, it is equivalent to an “in-house” assembly program financially supported by OSLS P.T.O., presented by F.A.M.E coordinator Jayne Managan and assisted by our volunteer parent, Cheryl Blea.

Currently there are three programs held each year introducing the entire student body each time to an accomplished composer and his/her style of music and historical setting, and an artist with his/her technique and artistic medium. Each classroom is treated to its own forty minute, grade appropriate presentation given in a very lively first-person style, incorporating class participation, hands-on art work, and follow up information for home.
