2006 TAXABLE CONTRIBUTIONS
Donors must deliver or mail (and postmark)
checks on or by December 31, 2006, in order to claim a charitable deduction for
2006. Checks that are placed in the
church offering during the first worship service in 2007 will not qualify for a charitable
contribution deduction in 2006 even if the check is predated to
2006 or was actually written in 2006.
However, checks that are written, mailed and postmarked in
2006 will be deductible in 2006 though they are not received by a church until
2007. This means that all checks
placed in the offering plate on December 31, 2006, including the New Year’s Eve
service, will be part of your 2006 offering record.

MEN OF OUR
SAVIOR . . . Are you trying to
decide what to get that special woman in your life? How about giving her a weekend away to
unwind, enjoy the peace and beauty of the ocean, have fun and fellowship with
other women of faith, and spend some time in worship and prayer. If this sounds like the perfect gift, then
sign her up for the Women’s Retreat.
