In celebration of the Thanksgiving
holiday, the church and school offices will be closed on Friday, November 25.
Marriage Anniversary
Thanksgiving
It is a Thanksgiving tradition at
Our Savior to recognize those couples having wedding anniversaries that are
divisible by 5. Let us know in the
church office by tomorrow if your
wedding anniversary should be included in the Thanksgiving Day bulletin. We should praise God and give thanks for all
those who have mastered the art of making a marriage work, especially in these
days when there is so much pressure on any couple. Let us in on your celebration, please.
We are back, better and stronger
than ever. We are your Call Committee and we had our first
re-energize meeting on Monday evening and we are more committed than ever to
search for the Pastor whom God has identified for Our Savior Lutheran.
We have
updated our list of potential candidates and have added five additional names
that came from you. We have forwarded
our new list to the District Office for their concurrence on who is available
and who is not. Once we receive the
information back, we will work our process and come back to you with our next
generation of recommendations.
God has
blessed this congregation many times over and He does have a special person to
take the leadership of our Senior Pastor.
All of the existing Call Committee members have signed up for the second
session with the exception of Jordan Even who is away at school. Taking his place is Alex Parks and we welcome
him to the Committee and are excited that our young people are taking
leadership positions in the congregation.
Thanks Alex.
We will
keep you updated as we go through the next couple of weeks and ask for your
prayers and support in this unique opportunity. Roger

Sunday School
Help Needed!
Would you prayerfully consider
helping in our 1st/2nd Grade Sunday School class? We are looking for an assistant who should
attend regularly, but with no class preparation required. We also need substitute teachers for our
on-call sub list. Please call the church
office or Sunday School Superintendents Rob and Jill Santos if interested.
Linen Committee Needed
We are
looking for volunteers who would like to be on a team to keep our tablecloths
clean and pressed after they are used for various events, i.e. Advent by
Candlelight, banquets, etc. If you are
interested in heading this effort or volunteering to wash and dry, please
contact Joe Ryno in the church office.

NEWS FROM OUR SCHOOL
Find and
dust off those beautiful nativity sets you have stored away. OSLS
students and their families and members of Our Savior are
asked to bring their Nativity Scenes
to share with others this Advent season.
We will display the crèches along the back windows of the church
sanctuary. We hope to see many different
cultures and countries represented from around the world. No nativity scene will be turned away. If it has special meaning for you, it will be
wonderful to share. Set-up will be on
Monday, November 28, from
“Souper”
Challenge
OSLS
students are collecting soup cans for the food shelves in our own community
during November-December. Anyone can
help by bringing soup to the Loaves and Fishes Bin in the gym. Our God is so generous. Help us live it to the fullest and share it
with others.
