CALLING ALL STEWARDS!!!

We will hold a meeting of the OSLM Stewards (voters) after Bible class on May 28 in the gym.  We will provide pizza and pay for it with a free-will offering.  To save time, we can enjoy our lunch while addressing agenda items that include:

  • Review the overall health of our ministries
  • Hear about progress with the Ministry Center
  • Discuss our FY06-07 Critical Targets
  • Approve the FY06-07 OSLM budget
  • Approve new Elders and OSLC membership changes
  • Elect three members to the Lay Governing Board

An important piece of business at the upcoming (May 28) Stewards/Voters meeting will be the ELECTION of 3 NEW MEMBERS to the LAY GOVERNING BOARD.  The Nominating Committee will be presenting the following slate of 9 candidates to be voted on.  Each of these candidates meets the requirements listed in the Bylaws and has consented to serve if elected.  They are (in alphabetical order):  Dave Dannenberg, Jim Hermerding, Suzanne Pearson, Sylvette Phillips, Ted Sanlis, Diane Schildbach, Charlie Swift, Ken Volkman, and Beth Young.

We are looking for help for Summer Sunday School.  We need a Preschool Teacher (children ages 3-5) and volunteers to present a 20 minute lesson (curriculum provided) to a group of 5-15 older children (ages 6-12).  You can volunteer for one or more weeks!  Summer Sunday School will start June 18 and end August 20.  Please prayerfully consider this need as you make your summer plans.  Contact Jill Santos if you are able to help.  Thank you!

SCRIP FACTS – We have a supply of Sears Gift Cards on hand!  These gift cards can be used at all Sears and Orchard Supply Hardware locations and are available in $25 and $100 denominations.  Making a large purchase?  We can special order $250 Sears Gift Cards (allow 1 to 2 weeks for delivery) and you can use up to 15 Sears Gift Cards per transaction.  Our discount on Sears Gift Cards is 4%.  That means when you purchase a $100 Sears Gift Card, $4 goes to our Ministry Center Building fund!  You can purchase SCRIP during the coffee hour on Sunday mornings in the gym.

TIME TO THINK 4TH OF JULY!  Once again, Our Savior will hold a special afternoon and evening of fun on the 4th of July.  It will be a bring-your-own-picnic lunch/dinner followed by fireworks.  There is no charge for entrance to this event, but you do need to buy a parking pass and we only have a limited supply.  No more than two parking passes per household.  The parking passes are $5 and will be available for purchase this morning during the coffee hour in the gym.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL AT OUR SAVIOR!  Sunday, July 30 – Thursday, August 3,  6:00 – 8:30 p.m.  Join us at Treasure Cove, where we’ll discover the riches of Christ!  A casual dinner will be served at 6 p.m.  There will be classes for kids age 3 through 5th grade, nursery care for kids under age 3, and classes for adults!  It’s sure to be an awesome week – full of worship, fun and games, crafts, and Bible stories!  Sign up today at oslm.net/church or by filling out a registration form available in the office!  Can’t wait to see you there!
