There will be a SPECIAL VOTERS’
ASSEMBLY MEETING this afternoon, September
30, at 3:00 p.m. in the Gym.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and vote on a set of proposed
changes to our Constitution and Bylaws. This
will be the first of two meetings that are required in order to ratify these
changes. Since the proposed changes are
rather extensive, it would be helpful for you to study them prior to the
meeting. Therefore, if you have not
already done so, please pick up one of the marked-up copies of the Constitution
and Bylaws that are available in the back of the sanctuary. These are color-coded to make them easier to
understand: red is used for “real”
changes, and teal for “cosmetic” changes.
Please plan on attending this important meeting. Child care will be available.

►THERE IS STILL
TIME! If you are a
member of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, you still have the opportunity to
increase the impact of your support to Our Savior Lutheran School(s) for this
calendar year. Through the GivingPlus®
Program, your donations made out to our school will be used towards the
Ministry Center and supplemented by Thrivent Financial.
Thrivent Financial contributes $1 for every $2 that
a Thrivent Financial member donates, based on program guidelines. Although this program is not available this
year for Associate Members, members can donate up to $600 per school, per
member, each year.
For example:
A household with two Thrivent Financial members can contribute up to
$1200 for each member. $600 can be
contributed towards the School and $600 towards the Early Childhood
Center. Thrivent will then match each
contribution up to $300. If $600 is not
within your budget – don’t worry.
Thrivent will still contribute $1 for every $2 gift.
Not only will you be helping support the Ministry Center,
your gift is also tax-deductible.
Forms are available in the church office.
