WOMEN’S CRAFT, HOBBY, AND CATCH-ALL NIGHT – March 25, 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Just a reminder that the 4th Sunday of the month is our Women’s social gathering with the consistent theme of “Catch-All Night.”  This gathering provides an opportunity for women to gather socially while accomplishing tasks along the way.  You might feel like us and want the opportunity to get to know other women in the congregation but have no spare time to do it.  This forum allows you to bring something to work on like a craft, mending, pay bills, or whatever you need to accomplish, while you connect with other women.  We’ve found it to be a real blessing and hope you will join us.  Feel free to bring a snack to share, if you’d like to munch.  Call us if you have any questions or need child care – Linda Futral, Rene Moyer, or Karen Buntjer.

A SPRING SPRUCE-UP is planned for Saturday, March 31, from 8 a.m. until noon.  This is a family affair!  We’ll be primarily pruning the grounds and picking up other litter.  Two large dumpsters will be available for all of the prunings.  Please bring pruning shears, clippers, lawn rakes, shovel, trowels, and most of all ….wheelbarrows.  Coffee, soft drinks and other refreshments will be available in the gym kitchen.  Let’s make our grounds ship-shape for Easter!  If you have any questions, please call Barbara or Bill Wills.

Calling All MEN!   Again this year, we will be having an Easter Breakfast following our Easter service on April 8.  This event will be held in the gym.  Again, the men of the congregation will be preparing and serving this special meal on this special day!  Mark McDonald will serve as our “head cook” in the kitchen.  We are looking for men who can volunteer to do everything from set-up, cooking, serving, clean-up, and decorating!  The men will do it all!

If you are interested in helping out in any way, please show up at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, in the gym and you will be put to work!  We will also need some guys for serving and clean-up duty on Sunday following the meal.  To sign up to help, please call Steve Christopher in the church office, 447-1246, x-228; or email him at schristopher@oslm.net.

We are happy to announce that we are creating a NEW PICTORIAL CHURCH DIRECTORY.  The photo dates are from Thursday, April 12, through Monday, April 16.

Each participating household will receive a FREE 8x10 portrait and a directory – no purchase necessary.  You will have the opportunity to view and purchase additional portraits at reasonable prices.

You may schedule your own appointment on-line at the Lifetouch link on our website www.oslm.net or make your appointment in person after church beginning today.

Women’s Bible Study Opportunity:   Join us (Michele Scharnitzke and Janet Connolly) in a nine-week Bible study starting Sunday, April 15, from 3 - 5 p.m. in the Narthex.  This study, “Believing God,” is presented in DVD form by Beth Moore.  Beth Moore is a well known dynamic leader in women’s bible studies.  This study is defined in Christianbooks.com as follows:

(Drawing from the "Heroes of the Faith" in Hebrews 11, this study examines the lives of Abraham, Moses and others who believed God.  Through their examples, Beth explores what it means to know and truly believe God as described in Isaiah 43:10 and encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh word from Him.)  Please call the Church office to sign up as an individual or as a Group leader.  A donation of $20 to cover costs would be appreciated.  For any questions please call Michele or Janet.

WANTED:  HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS

You are invited to join a Girls-only Bible Study featuring Rob Bell’s, “Nooma DVD’s”.

It starts on April 17th, from 8 to 9 p.m. and will continue on the first and third Tuesday of every month.

Come to my house, and watch a DVD and talk with friends on how these powerful messages might change you.

Where:  Mrs. Connolly’s (check in the directory or call the church office for address)

Come as you are and bring a friend.

SORRY, NO BOYS ALLOWED!!

Come and spend “An Evening in the Vineyard”.  Join us on Saturday, April 28th for this year’s PTO (parent/teacher organization) ANNUAL SCHOOL AUCTION.  This is a wonderful fellowship and fundraising opportunity.  The evening’s festivities will include a silent auction, full dinner and wine bar, with the highlight of a live auction.  Tickets for this event will go on sale in early April.  More details to follow!

The Teacher Appreciation Committee needs your help!  Do you have any extra FLORAL VASES?  If so, please drop them off in the kitchen during fellowship time.  Thank you for helping praise our teachers.
